Fitness Membership 

Stay on track with your health and fitness goals with Auburn Community Fitness!  Join the instructors you know and love from the Auburn Community & Event Center for a variety of 60-minute classes each week.  Virtual classes are available on-demand in the fitness library. Sign up for your fitness membership by calling the Community Center: 253-931-3043 or stop by the front desk.


drop in childcareDrop-In Childcare

Bring the kids to the Community Center for some play time while you use the Fitness Center or a fitness class.  Kids ages 6 months-10 years.  Parents must remain on site, 2 hours max/visit.  $4 daily drop-in.  Add unlimited childcare to your fitness membership for $15/child/month.  Schedule below:

Mondays/Wednesdays: 9:30 AM-1:30 PM, 4:15-7:00 PM
Tuesdays: 9:10 AM-12:00 PM, 4:15-7:00 PM
Thursdays: 9:30 AM-12 PM, 4:15-7:00 PM

Need a couple of hours to run errands or catch up with a friend?  Bring the kids for Kidz Playtime during drop-in hours and get up to two hours of care from our National Background Checked staff.  $10/session.  Kidz Playtime is available for children ages 2-10; children must be potty trained.


Fitness Memberships

The monthly Virtual Fitness Membership entitles members to full access to Live Virtual Fitness classes and the Virtual Fitness Class Library.

Fees: 

  • Adults (ages 18 and over): $25/month
  • Seniors (age 50+) or Teens (age 12-17): $20/month

Join A Zoom Meetinglady with computer

You will need one of the following devices to join the Zoom meeting:

  • Smart Phone
  • Laptop or Computer
  • Tablet

Fitness Members will have a meeting link emailed to them, click on that link to join any class during it's scheduled time.

  • The link will be accessible through any Smartphone, Tablet or Laptop/Computer
  • Once you click on the link, it will redirect you to the ZOOM site
  • You will have to register by putting your full name and email

Note:  The host will have to start the meeting first so you can join or the host enables 'join before host'.

Tai Chi for Beginners - New Dates Starting Soon!Tai Chi

Tuesdays, April 18-May 23 | 12:15-1:15 PM
FREE for Fitness Members/$30 non-members

Tai Chi for beginners uses slow, gentle movements, mindfulness and breath work to increase energy, strength and focus while decreasing stress in both the body and mind. This program was specifically designed to be a gradually increasing exercise program that is enjoyable and effective. It is highly recommended for people with Diabetes and pre-Diabetes. Taught by a certified Tai Chi for Health instructor, this class can be modified to meet individual needs.


SAIL (Stay Active and Independent for Life)

SAIL is a strength, balance and fitness program for adults age 50 and older.  Exercises to improve strength, balance and fitness are the most important activity to stay active and reduce chances of falling.  SAIL consists of a warm up, light aerobics, strength & balance training and cool down.  All exercises can be done seated or standing. 
Class is free and requires registration
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:20 AM at the Auburn Community & Event Center - 910 9th Street SE. 

SAIL is not part of Fitness Membership.

Many Virtual Fitness Classes use equipment to supplement the workout.  There are many common alternatives that you can find around the house.  See below for ideas.
