What is National Night Out?
Here in Auburn, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie and makes our City a more caring place to live. The event takes place each year on the first Tuesday in August, so this year will be August 1st!
This year marks the 40th Annual National Night Out.
Many communities throughout the city will be hosting a variety of special
events such as block parties, cookouts, youth activities, and visits from City
officials, staff, and police to get better acquainted with neighbors and
promote a more connected Auburn.
On a national level, National Night Out (NNO) is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). For more information on this program across the nation, visit the National Night Out website. For more info about this program here in Auburn, check out the info below.
