Auburn's Maker Space is located within the
Auburn Community & Event Center at
910 9th Street SE (in Les Gove Park)

Equipment within the space includes: Epilog Helix Laser Printer, MakerBot Replicator 3D Printer, FormLabs Form 2 Resin 3D Printer, Brother Sewing and Embroidery Machine, Silhouette Cutter, Xbox Kinnect Scanner and a variety of hand tools.

DID YOU KNOW... The Maker Space now offers private parties!!!  

  • Maker Space private partyChoose from a wide variety of projects and mediums like laser engraved cutting boards, etched glasses or tumblers, jewelry making, porch signs and more!  Perfect for Ladies Night Out, scout groups, birthday parties, or just a group of friends!  Parties include a party host/project instructor, all materials, and exclusive use of the Maker Space and it's equipment.  Parties are available for a range of group sizes and ages.  
    • Base room price: $60 + $30/person.
    • 2 hour party: up to 6 people
    • 3 hour party: up to 10 people

STEAM Tweens - Registration Now Open!

Steam_LogoGear up this Spring for the most exciting after-school class around! Is your kid a maker? A tinkerer? An artist? An aspiring inventor or engineer? Join us at the Auburn MakerSpace on Mondays and/or Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 PM!
Ages 7-12  Fee: $40/$50 per workshop.

           
  • Weird Science! The messiest science class yet!  Wear clothkids building robotses you don't mind getting dirty as we dive into the science of slime, bath bombs, and even make our own Play-Doh and Moon Sand!!  Thursdays, April 18-May 9, 5:00-7:00 PM. 
  • Storyboard That! Do you like comics or movies?  Storyboard the base to your own comic or movies on the computer using storyboard functions and hare with your family and friends on the last day of class!  Thursdays, May 23-June 13, 5:00-7:00 PM.

The Maker Space is open for mini makers!  Kids ages 4-7 and their parents are invited to try out the new Mini Makers workshops where kids will use their imaginations and get hands on in building, creating and making! 

Mini makers will combine Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math to create fun projects to take home.
Ages 4-7  Fee: $10/$13

  • Kids' Secret Mothers' Day Wall Décor- Drop your child off and give them a chance to create an awesome Mothers' Day gift!  We can't tell you much about it or it would ruin the surprise, but children will be given the opportunity to create a long-lasting loving thank you for mom to open on Mothers' Day.  Class includes gift wrapping.  Friday, May 10, 6-8:30 PM.  $32/$40.  Ages 6 and up.
  • Patriotic PNW & USA Wall Décor- Show both State & National pride this 4th of July with a custom-made USA map that highlights our beloved Washington State.  The shape of our country will be layered with a version of the American Flag that features the blue and stars in the shape of Washington!  You will also add a personal touch with your favorite freedom quote and your choice of colors/stains.  Tuesday, June 25, 6:00-8:30 PM.  $30/$38.
  • Mountain Light Lamp- Bring the magic of the Pacific Northwest beauty indoors with a custom-cut decorative mountain light!  This creative lamp is shaped like the Olympic Mountains silhouette and lit from within to provide a soft glow.  The perfect touch of ambiance and nature for any season.  Thursday, July 18, 6:00-8:30 PM.  $32/$40.
  • Multi-Piece String Art Wall Décor- Pick a short word that expresses you and come in to make it for your wall using a combination of wood cutting and string art.  Colors, wood, words and fonts are all customizable.  Thursday, August 22, 6:00-8:30 PM.  $25/$32.
