The City Clerk's Office is a division of the City Attorney's Office. The City Clerk's Office maintains a complete and accurate record of Council proceedings, preserves City records, processes requests for information and claims, prepares City Council agendas and minutes, and serves as a passport acceptance facility.

Formal written actions of the City Council and laws of the City (ordinances). Statements or courses of action adopted by the City Council, less formal than ordinances and dealing with matters of a special or temporary character (resolutions).
