The City of Auburn is issuing a Notice of Application (NOA), and a Notice of Public Hearing (NOH) for the following described project. The applications and listed studies may be reviewed at the Auburn Department of Community Development at One E Main St., 2nd Floor, Customer Service Center, Auburn, WA 98001 and by visiting www.auburnwa.gov/landuse.

Proposal: 
Special Home Occupation permit for a home-based plant nursery business. The proposed home occupation is located at a 6.20 acre or 270,225 square foot property within the R-5, Residential 5 dwelling units per acre, zoning district. The subject “Property” will be used to establish Green River Nursery, a plant nursery business. The proposed hours of operation are Monday-Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. The business will include a bi-annual spring and fall weekend plant sales event. The purpose of the Special Home Occupation application is to request an increase in the number of visitors that are typically allowed for home occupation’s per Auburn City Code (ACC) 18.60.020. The increase in visitors allowed is proposed for two days a week (Friday and Saturday). The property is fenced and extensively landscaped with trees and bushes that block most of the view of the property from the street. Access to the property is from a paved driveway off of SE 299th St. The property will have a 10 by 20 square foot shade house for the plants, an 18 by 29 square foot plant propagation area and several 3-foot-high benches to display the plants. Seven (7) off-street parking spaces will be provided on site.

The Property is located at 13100 SE 299TH St, off SE 299TH St and 132nd Ave SE. King Co. Parcel No. 0421059010. Within the quarter Section SE 04, Township 21, Range 5. WM.

Any person wishing to become a party of record, shall include in their comments that they wish to receive notice of and participate in any hearings, request a copy of decisions once made, and be made aware of appeal rights.
