Passport Services

For passport appointment availability check the passport calendar using the "Book Now" button below. Please note this calendar is updated in real time. If an appointment becomes available, it will show on the calendar. The City of Auburn only releases appointments four weeks in advance. Appointments are released at the end of the day on the last business day of the week.

Passport applications may take up to 8 weeks for standard processing and 3 weeks for expedited processing (additional $60) from the day an application is submitted to the day a new passport is received.

The Auburn City Clerk's Office can accept passport applications for first time adult applicants and minor applicants. For adults renewing passports, please visit the Passport Agency.

Passport appointments are available on:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (except holidays)
9:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM at Auburn City Hall located at 25 West Main Street in Auburn.

Requirements

A check (or money order) will be required made out to the US Department of State; the City’s acceptance fee is separate and can be paid by check, cash or credit card (VISA/MC). A 3% service fee is included for all credit card transactions.

Two (2) identical color photographs (2"x2"). Background color must be white. The applicant's image must be centered in the photo with at least 1/4 inch space between the top of the applicant's head and the top edge of the photo. Please visit travel.state.gov for photo specifications.

Proof of citizenship, such as certified copy of birth certificate, previously issued passport (if you have a previous passport, you must bring this with you) or certificate of naturalization. No photo copies are allowed.

Photo identification such as driver's license (not temporary nor learner's permit), government employee identification card, official military identification card, previous U.S. passport, certificate of naturalization, certificate of citizenship, and aircraft pilot's license issued by the Department of Transportation, FAA. Multiple forms of ID may be required.
