The City of Auburn is issuing a Notice of Availability for SEPA code update for a 60-day public comment period. This notice is issued under WAC 197-11-800(1)(c)(iii). Written comments due: January 16, 2025 by 5:00 PM PST.

Description of Proposal: The proposal is a non-project action to update the City of Auburn’s SEPA code (Chapter 16.06 Auburn City Code (ACC)) as follows.  
 
Categorical Exemption Threshold Increase 
The changes will reflect the categorical exemption threshold increases as stated in WAC 197-11800(d) The maximum exemption levels applicable: 

Optional Process 
Projects that are defined as Type II, Type III, and Type IV Decisions, per ACC 14.03.020 and ACC 14.03.030 respectively, in which a threshold determination under SEPA is required, may be processed under the Optional DNS process, ensuring consistency with WAC 197-11-355 Optional DNS Process requirements. 
 
Planned Action – Project Review 
The City of Auburn adopted by reference WAC 197-11-172.
