Community Meetings

Safe Auburn: Community Conversations

In partnership with the Auburn School District, the City of Auburn is holding a series of neighborhood meetings centered on community safety. Meetings will be in each of Auburn's six policing districts, with a city-wide Saturday session for residents unable to attend during the weekdays.

These meetings culminate months of planning, preparing and executing strategic outreach between the City of Auburn and Auburn School District and you, our community and residents. This first set of meetings is meant to be more listening than dialogue – we want to hear what’s happening in your neighborhood, and we want to hear it all.

These conversations will be difficult, but it's important we have them. We'll continue this meeting series throughout the year, building upon ideas and solutions. This is an ongoing process, and we are committed to working with you to make our community safer.

Refreshments will be provided. So we have an idea of how much to prepare, please RSVP here!

Objectives:

  1. Build healthy communities and community safety
  2. Empower residents
  3. Prepare residents for the future
  4. Incorporate values and principles

To increase our efforts to reach the entire city, we will host a meeting in each patrol district.
