Description of Document Being Adopted: On May 21, 2001, the Auburn City Council adopted Ordinance No. 5549 for the Auburn Downtown Plan and Final EIS (“Downtown Plan”). The Downtown Plan is for a 20-year planning horizon and assumed an additional 811 dwelling units and encouraged mixed-use in the downtown area; the area generally described as being south of E. Main St, west of ‘A’ St SE, north of SR-18, and east of ‘A’ St. SW. To date there have been 255 residential units built in this area; 166 are proposed for this development, and 240 are proposed under City File No. SEP18-0005 (still in review at the date of this notice), for a proposed total of 661 dwelling units.

We have identified and adopted this document as being appropriate for this proposal after independent review. The document meets our environmental review needs for the current proposal and will accompany the proposal to the decision maker.
